Urenco is seeking to honour and remember those from Capenhurst and Ledsham who made the ultimate sacrifice, particularly during the period of Remembrance in November. This includes the servicemen of the First World War commemorated on the Rolls of Honour at Capenhurst Church and Two Mills Chapel.

As part of this initiative, they have researched and compiled the stories of a number of those named on the Rolls of Honour and have been in contact with surviving family members. The aim is to present Capenhurst Church with a commemorative book that captures their service and sacrifice, while also sharing individual stories with relatives, including Martin Cash.

In support of this remembrance project, Urenco veterans currently working at the Capenhurst site volunteered their time to help clean and maintain the local war graves at Capenhurst Church, ensuring that those who served continue to be remembered with dignity and respect.
