Ledsham Councillor vacancy filled by ex-Councillor Tracey Royle
23rd of June, 2026
Following the resignation of a Councillor for Ledsham in February, The Parish Council advertised the vacancy and asked for candidates to put themselves forward. As no-one responded to that, the Council was allowed to co-opt someone into the place without an election. There was a further round of advertising notices in March, asking people to put forward expressions of interest. Only one was received - from Tracey Royle, who had been a Councillor until she stepped down in 2025 for health reasons but felt able to take up the role again. Her request was taken to the Council meeting on 5 May and she was appointed to the vacancy.
Tracey says: I am delighted to have been appointed as a Councillor and look forward to serving the community. I believe that good local government starts with listening, caring, and being approachable, and I am committed to representing residents and their concerns with honesty and fairness. My aim is to work positively with fellow Councillors, local organisations and residents to help improve our area, and support a strong and vibrant future for our community.
